Bausch & Lomb is renowned in hand lens manufacturing. The Triplet Hand Lens incorporates three separate lenses bonded together to form a compound lens, providing a sharp, distinct magnified image without distortion, even under 14x and 20x magnification.
One thing to note is the size of the lens. Compared to generic brands, B&L lenses are smaller. For example:
- 10x = 16mm aperture
- 14x = 12.5mm aperture
- 20x = 8mm aperture
Although it comes down to personal preference, some customers have realized the lens sizes were smaller only after acquiring them, so we advise this in advance.
The generic brands we carry are also of great quality and are popular due to their larger lens apertures and cost-effectiveness. Our HLECO-10 and HLECO-20 are the most popular models. Please refer to the table below for the entire range and lens apertures.
All hand lenses come with a free lanyard!
Note: The hand lenses are sometimes referred to as “Jewelers Loupes.”
